Esww 2023 The 19th European Space Weather Week

ESWW 2023: The 19th European Space Weather Week

Bringing Space Weather, Space Climate, and Engineering Together

Welcome to the 19th European Space Weather Week

We are pleased to announce that the 19th European Space Weather Week (ESWW) will be held from November 20th to 24th, 2023, in Toulouse, France. This event is organized by the European Space Weather Association (ESWA) and will bring together experts from various fields to discuss the latest advances and developments in space weather research.

In recent years, space weather has become increasingly recognized as a major threat to our technological infrastructure and human activities. The Sun's activity can cause space storms that can disrupt satellite communications, power grids, and aviation systems. Space weather can also pose a health risk to astronauts and space tourists.

The goal of ESWW is to provide a forum for researchers, engineers, and policy makers to discuss the latest developments in space weather research and to develop strategies to mitigate the risks posed by space weather. The event will feature a variety of presentations, workshops, and exhibitions. We encourage you to attend ESWW 2023 and learn about the latest developments in this important field.

Call for Plenary and Parallel Sessions

We invite you to submit proposals for plenary and parallel sessions at ESWW 2023. Plenary sessions will feature invited speakers who will present the latest research on key topics in space weather. Parallel sessions will provide a forum for researchers to present their own work and discuss the latest findings in the field.

To submit a proposal for a plenary or parallel session, please visit the ESWW 2023 website.

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by reducing our travels. In order to do this, we are offering several additional events that will be held virtually.

The ISWAT (International Space Weather Awareness Team) and E-SWAN (European Space Weather Network) workshops will be held virtually on November 16th and 17th, 2023. These workshops will provide an opportunity for researchers to learn about the latest developments in space weather outreach and education.

The Space Climate and Engineering Forum will be held virtually on November 25th and 26th, 2023. This forum will bring together experts from the space weather and climate communities to discuss the challenges and opportunities of mitigating the risks posed by space weather.

We hope you will join us for ESWW 2023!
