Recently the Tamil film industry witnessed a grand new debut of a director who has a proven track history in acting and producing films. The son of the versatile actor Dhanush also a multifaceted artist in the entertainment industry has made his debut as a director and won the hearts of the audience with his extraordinary storytelling in his directorial debut venture Thiruchitrambalam.

The inception of Shettu

The inception of the film Shettu started during the filming of VIP 2 where Dhanush penned a storyline that he discussed with his son Yatra Dhanush. Yatra Dhanush being an avid film buff took interest in his father's storyline and started developing the script further and also began scouting for a suitable director to work on the project. As time passed Yatra decided to take up the directorial position and decided to direct the film himself.

Thiruchitrambalam is a romantic drama film that explores the journey of a food delivery agent named Thiru, played by Dhanush, as he navigates through the ups and downs of life and love experiences a rollercoaster of emotions and events.
