Preston return to the top of the Championship

Preston North End were granted the right to change their WVSSAC late Monday night, alongside 10 other schools.

Preston beat manager Ryan Lowe's former side Plymouth to return to the top of the Championship.

Preston was slicker and sharper, and the home side survived another big penalty appeal as Ched Evans missed from the spot.

Sissonville, one of the 11 programs granted the appeal, will continue playing in Class AA after it was initially moved up to Class AAA.

This is a huge result for Preston that will do plenty for their confidence going into the crunch time.

Preston Athletic Football Club was founded in 1945. Originally a junior club, the club entered the senior ranks in 1966.
