Sunrise on the Reaping: Release Date for New Hunger Games Book and Movie Announced
WEB Scholastic Announces Publication and Movie Release Dates
WEB Scholastic announced on Thursday that the fifth volume of Suzanne Collins' blockbuster dystopian series, The Hunger Games, will be published on March 18, 2025. The book, titled Sunrise on the Reaping, will continue the story of Katniss Everdeen and the fight for survival in the totalitarian nation of Panem.
Publication and Movie Release
In addition to the publication date, WEB Scholastic also announced that a film adaptation of Sunrise on the Reaping is scheduled to hit theaters on November 20, 2025. The film will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who helmed the previous three Hunger Games movies.
The Hunger Games series has been a global phenomenon, with the books selling over 100 million copies worldwide and the movies grossing over $3 billion at the box office. The new book and movie are highly anticipated by fans of the franchise.
