Francis Ngannou is a Cameroonian professional mixed martial artist who began competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2015. He is the current UFC Heavyweight Champion, having defeated Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 in March 2021. Ngannou is known for his exceptional power and knockout ability, and is widely regarded as one of the hardest hitters in the UFC.
Ngannou was born in Batié, Cameroon, and began training in mixed martial arts at the age of 22. He made his professional debut in 2013, and quickly gained a reputation for his devastating punching power. In 2015, he signed with the UFC and made his debut against Luis Henrique. Ngannou won the fight by knockout in the first round, and went on to win his next three fights in similar fashion.
