Benedictine College Unveils Plans for New State-of-the-Art Library

Historic Gift Fuels Construction of Classic Addition to Campus

Fly-Through Video Gives Glimpse of Future Library

Atchison, Kansas – Benedictine College is proud to announce the launch of a project to construct a classically designed library that will enhance the academic and community experience for students, faculty, and visitors.

The new 53,000-square-foot library will feature cutting-edge technology, flexible learning spaces, and a vast collection of physical and digital resources. It is set to open in the fall of 2025.

A generous $4 million gift from an anonymous donor has ignited this ambitious project. This historic investment demonstrates the donor's belief in the transformative power of education and the importance of supporting Benedictine College's mission.

To provide a glimpse into the future library, the college has released a spectacular fly-through video. This immersive experience allows viewers to explore the grand architectural design, spacious interiors, and inviting study areas.

The new library will serve as a hub for academic inquiry and intellectual growth. Its state-of-the-art facilities will empower students to engage in research, develop critical thinking skills, and become lifelong learners. It will also be a place where the community can gather for educational events, lectures, and exhibitions.

Benedictine College President Stephen D. Minnis, OSB, expressed his gratitude for the donor's generosity and the transformative impact it will have on the college.

"This new library will be a beacon of learning and a source of pride for our campus," said Father Minnis. "It will empower our students to reach their full potential and make a lasting contribution to our world."

The construction of the new library is a testament to Benedictine College's commitment to academic excellence and its enduring mission to provide a transformative education for all who seek it.
