According to the Pakistan Standard Time (PST), a partial solar eclipse will begin at 9:12 pm on April 8, 2024. Unfortunately, due to the timing coinciding with nighttime, viewers in Pakistan will miss the chance to witness this celestial event. The total solar eclipse of 2024 will be the first of the year and will be visible in several countries worldwide. However, Pakistan will not be among the regions where the full eclipse will be visible. The partial solar eclipse will start at 8:48 pm PST and will end around 10:36 pm PST. During this time, the moon will partially cover the sun, creating a "crescent-shaped" effect. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has advised the public to take precautions during the eclipse, including wearing protective eyewear and avoiding direct eye contact with the sun. The next opportunity for Pakistanis to witness a total solar eclipse will not be until 2050.
