Solar Eclipse 2024: Bengaluru to Witness Partial Eclipse for 45 Minutes

Subtle Celestial Event Precedes Chaitra Navratri

Preparations in Full Swing for 5:12 PM Partial Solar Eclipse

Bengaluru, India - The first Solar Eclipse of 2024 is set to grace the skies today, April 8th. This celestial event precedes the auspicious Chaitra Navratri and will be visible in Bengaluru for approximately 45 minutes.

According to experts, the partial solar eclipse will be visible in Bengaluru from 5:12 pm to 5:55 pm. However, only about 10% of the eclipse will be observable during this time frame.

The city of Bengaluru has made preparations to ensure the safe viewing of this astronomical phenomenon. Residents are advised to use protective eyewear and avoid looking directly at the sun during the eclipse.

Solar eclipses occur when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking out sunlight. This particular eclipse is a partial eclipse, meaning that only a portion of the Sun's disc will be covered by the Moon.

In addition to the partial solar eclipse, 2024 will also witness three other solar eclipses and two lunar eclipses. These events offer a fascinating glimpse into the celestial dance between the Earth, Moon, and Sun.
